Project Description

Great Barrier Reef Foundation, Brisbane

The Great Barrier Reef is an irreplaceable ecosystem, home to thousands of species of marine life, including fish, dolphins, and six of the world’s seven species of marine turtle. But the Reef and its marine life are at risk from climate change and poor water quality. The Goudswaard Family Foundation’s donation helped support the Great Barrier Reef Foundation’s work to protect the Reef. Critical projects include; – Saving endangered turtles by restoring nesting areas, -saving Reefs with coral IVF – using science to support coral spawning. – Restoring Reef Island habitats to protect ecosystems and save vulnerable species.
